We created a CGI brand mascot for the Decatylen brand in collaboration with the ORKA Film post-production studio. This project encompassed the entire 3D pipeline from organic modeling and rigging to the final character animation of a bacterium attacking the human body. Our team focused on the visual personification of a biological threat to clearly present the antiseptic action of the medical product.
The campaign required a clear visual personification of a bacterium attacking the throat. We needed to show the exact opponent the product fights against. We executed specific design goals to achieve this objective.
Our artists created a visually suggestive character that audiences easily remember. We developed a highly functional digital model prepared for expressive character movement. The final CGI asset strengthened the core advertising message regarding fast throat pain relief.
ORKA Film is a renowned post-production studio handling global brands. Our primary business goal was delivering a premium digital asset that would increase product recognition through a strong creative motif.
3D character animation in pharmaceutical advertising is a CGI process that visualizes microscopic biological threats. It helps medical brands explain complex health issues by transforming abstract bacteria into relatable digital characters for television campaigns.
Creating an animated brand hero allows agencies to build highly engaging narratives around health products. High-quality CGI provides total control over the appearance and movement of the antagonist. This makes the medical solution much easier to understand for a general audience.
The production process was divided into three main stages involving organic modeling, skeleton rigging, and final character animation. We worked closely with Orka Advertising to define the exact role of the bacterium in the commercial narrative. We matched all movements to the strict requirements of their VFX compositing workflow.
We executed the character modeling using ZBrush and 3ds Max. This powerful combination allowed us to faithfully reproduce a biological form filled with microscopic surface details. 3D modeling for this project required sculpting organic irregularities in ZBrush and optimizing the digital mesh inside 3ds Max.
During this stage our team completed several crucial tasks:
We sculpted the anatomical details of the bacterium in extremely high resolution.
Our artists optimized the model topology to guarantee maximum efficiency during rigging.
We prepared the surface materials to ensure accurate reactions to digital lighting.
We developed the skeleton and character controllers inside Maya. This provided our animators with total control over the body deformations and facial expressions of the bacterium. The character behavior remained expressive and technically predictable while integrating with the live-action footage.
Our technical workflow included specific animation steps:
We built a dedicated controller system specifically for facial animation.
Our animators synchronized the movements of the bacterium with the dynamic commercial storyboard.
We optimized all digital assets for the final image assembly executed by ORKA Film.
The new CGI mascot provided an engaging visualization of a common health problem. The bacterium character became a simple symbol of the enemy, which helped consumers instantly understand how the medical product works.
Effective visual communication improved the market positioning of the brand. It strengthened the overall storytelling across both television and digital broadcasting platforms. This modern approach is highly effective for any corporate video production within the healthcare sector.
We utilized specialized software to bring these organic 3D forms to life. ZBrush handled the sculpting of organic details and biological irregularities. We used 3ds Max to optimize the mesh and prepare the geometry for rigging. Maya served as the main tool for building the skeleton and executing the final custom 3D animation. Our dedicated CGI pipeline ensured a seamless file exchange with the VFX department at ORKA Film.
The project was successfully executed by the Alchemiq team of specialists. Project Manager Kris Rusinek coordinated the workflow with Orka Advertising. The visual assets were developed by 3D Artists Tomasz “Strzyg” Nowak and Lukasz Gdaniec. Krzysztof Marcinowski handled the complex rigging process. The final character movements were delivered by 3D Animators Krzysztof Marcinowski and Kris Rusinek.
We managed the complete process from the initial visual concept to the final animation. If you want to create a unique 3D character for your brand, we are ready to prepare a complete concept and CGI animation for your next campaign.
For the Orka studio, we have prepared a 3d model of bacteria. We were also responsible for creating the character animation.
