We delivered a dark, full CGI trailer for the Drug Dealer Simulator 2 video game published by Movie Games S.A. This project combined advanced character animation with motion capture technology and real time rendering inside Unreal Engine. Our team focused on building a credible and cinematic criminal world inspired by the early 2000s.
The main challenge was reflecting a realistic criminal environment and showing the progression of the protagonist from a small-time dealer to an organized crime member. Movie Games S.A. is a prominent video game publisher. We needed to ensure the trailer matched the raw open-world nature of their upcoming simulator.
We highlighted the visual contrast between everyday life and the criminal underground. Our animators integrated character movements with complex city architecture. We matched the camera dynamics to the highest standards of modern cinematic productions. Our studio controlled every visual element to guarantee consistency with the game mechanics and dark atmosphere.
Video game cinematic trailers are premium CGI productions that build massive audience hype before a game release. They allow publishers to establish the emotional tone and narrative depth of a title without relying on early gameplay footage.
Creating a custom 3D animation helps developers showcase their world vision to investors and players. High-quality CGI generates viral marketing momentum. This attracts a wider audience and significantly boosts wishlists across global gaming platforms.
The production process was divided into character design, motion capture recording, and real-time rendering inside Unreal Engine. We refined the narrative concept by focusing on building tension through precise pacing and cinematic camera language.
We prepared the characters by modeling detailed faces and clothing in Character Creator and ZBrush. The designed models underwent a rigorous rigging process. We recorded the natural movements of actors using a professional motion capture system.
Our team transferred this captured data onto the digital skeletons of our models. We synchronized all gestures and facial expressions with the events happening in the game world. This data-driven approach makes the character reactions look completely believable.
We built the open world by combining 3D architectural animation with assets matched to the 2000s era. We utilized 3ds Max, Maya, and Blender to create a complete environment of streets and interiors. We transferred all scenes into Unreal Engine to set up cinematic camera work and digital lighting.
Real-time rendering allowed us to process the image instantly. Working on high-performance GPU workstations enabled our team to rapidly test multiple shot and lighting variations.
We merged the image layers in Nuke and Adobe After Effects. We focused heavily on the integration of special effects and final color grading. We applied a complex multi-pass compositing process to achieve a cinematic look.
Our VFX compositing visually separated the everyday scenes from the dark underground shots. We utilized Adobe Photoshop for editing specific textures and graphic elements.
The publisher gained a powerful marketing tool that built player engagement leading up to the market debut. The trailer clearly presents the gameplay atmosphere and the promotion path of the main protagonist. We deliver professional gaming trailers that effectively support product promotion on the global market through high-end visual communication.
We utilized an advanced technology stack to guarantee cinematic image quality and optimize the creative process. 3ds Max, Maya, and Blender handled the modeling of the urban environment and open world architecture. Character Creator and ZBrush were used for base character modeling and sculpting details. Unreal Engine provided real-time rendering, lighting, and camera work. Nuke and After Effects handled the multi-pass compositing and VFX integration. Motion Capture systems recorded natural actor movements.
The project was executed by a team of specialists ensuring animation fluidity and a dark atmosphere in every frame. Project Manager Lukasz Swierczynski coordinated the process. Krzysztof Rusinek served as Art Director. Lukasz Gdaniec led the team as Lead 3D. The digital environments were developed by 3D Artists Lukasz Gdaniec, Lukasz Walichnowski and Pawel Wisniewski. The character movements were delivered by 3D Animators Kris Rusinek, Lukasz Walichnowski and Pawel Wisniewski. Lukasz Swierczynski handled the final compositing. Radek Labus designed the sound.
